Stephan is a Project Geologist at RES and holds a PhD in economic geology, having graduated from Stellenbosch University.
His research interests focus on structurally controlled gold deposits and placer gold deposits, with specific emphasis on gold mobility throughout its geochemical life cycle. Stephan's practical experience is in world-class gold deposits in South Africa, Ghana, Namibia and Tanzania (i.e., Witwatersrand-, Barberton-, Birimian-,
Tarkwaian-, Damaran- and Ubendian deposits), and is am extremely motivated to establish himself within the
gold exploration industry.
Stephan has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and continues to add insight and rigor to the various disciplines he is interested in.
