So you’ve submitted your application. What happens next?
Thanks for applying! Whether applying for an advertised position, or if you’ve just completed our online application form, we will do our best to assess your application as soon as possible, but due to the large volumes of applications we receive, it may take a few weeks before we get back to you.
The first step in our interviewing process is a telephonic interview conducted by one of our Senior Staff Members. This short call will focus on details in your CV, finding out more about your work experience and gaining insight about your expectations. If the call goes well, we will invite you to an in-person interview.
Depending on the role you are applying for you may have one or more interviews with different RES team members. While your competency to do the job is very important, determining how your personality & values will fit in with our team & culture is equally important for us. If we feel that you may be a good fit, you will progress to the next stage in our interview process.
All applicants who have progressed past the interview stage will need to do an aptitude test, while some may be required to also do technical competency tests. Only successful candidates will progress to the next stage of the process. For some roles, this is the Technical Interview, for others this is the Reference Checks.
The technical interview is only applicable to certain roles – usually those requiring very specific understanding and competency in geoscience or financial management.
If you pass the Testing / Technical Interview, we will conduct reference checks with two recent professional references. You will be notified before your referees are contacted and we will begin preparing an offer, pending successful completion of reference checks.
We are thrilled to be offering you a place on our team. Congratulations!
