RES offers field exploration services from grassroots, through brownfields to pre-feasibility and feasibility stages for a wide range of commodities. We develop regional and detailed geological mapping as well as geochemical and heavy mineral sampling programmes, under stringent quality control measures, underscored by an effective logistical approach producing reliable and rapid results in any terrain.
We provide on-site support to field exploration programmes, taking care of all logistics such as camp management, land access negotiations and labour, as well as drill programme management, core logging, sampling and analysis, QA/QC procedures and petrographic studies.
Remote Exploration Services offers the following core
geological and geophysical services:
Project Design, Management and Implementation
Operational and Logistical Field Support
Data Interpretation and Reporting
Drill Programme Management and Support
XRF Field Laboratory Services
Marine and Alluvial Diamond Exploration
Environmental and Social Support Services
RES has extensive experience in planning and conducting Geophysical Surveys in tough and remote places throughout Africa. We plan and manage airborne surveys, while our ground-based geophysical services include Magnetics, Gravity, IP, Resistivity, Electromagnetics, Audio Magnetotellurics (CSAMT, NSAMT), TDEM (incl. HT SQUID) and FDEM.
Regional data interpretation and target selection, based on up-to-date, commercially available data processing and interpretation software. We also undertake data reviews, technical audits and independent assessments of exploration projects while, through our relationship with specialist consultants and industry experts, we can further assist Clients with 3D modelling.
The RES team, and our select group of specialist consultants, have the high-end technical capabilities and on-the-ground field experience needed to provide exceptional consulting and laboratory services. These include data review, QAQC, GIS database management, data interpretation, reporting and petrography. In addition, we also undertake geophysical data processing, interpretation and remote sensing or regolith mapping.
Our consulting service includes seamless exploration sample management with specialist teams undertaking XRFp analysis and heavy mineral picking and analysis. Clients are issued with Reports to assist and provide guidance on key decision making stages.
RES offers a wide range of services in the evaluation of marine and alluvial diamond deposits. From planning, implementation, management and evaluation of marine diamond exploration projects. Our integrated approach uses geophysical data, geological interpretations, wave-refraction modelling, borehole information and sampling data, allowing for efficient evaluations. We also assist Clients in the design and specification of survey work, implementation of surveys, representation during survey acquisition, quality control, data processing, interpretation and mapping of geophysical survey data.
RadonX™ provides uranium explorers with a unique and direct parameter enabling the detection of uranium deposits at depth. In so doing it provides an important data layer during the exploration process to enable drill target detection and delineation.
RadonX™ is a radon emanometry method based on the Radon-on-Activated-Charcoal (ROAC) technique initially developed by the SA Atomic Energy Board. Remote Exploration Services refined and adapted the initial ROAC method through a number of experimental studies and orientation surveys over known calcrete and leucogranite (Alaskite) hosted uranium deposits.
The emphasis of all procedures, choice of activated charcoal, and equipment parameter design, optimises the sensitivity of the RadonX™ method.
