Conrad joined Remote Exploration Services in 2020. As an accomplished Project Geologist and registered member of the GSSA, SACNASP, Conrad brings multi-commodity experience and a wide range of skills.

He graduated from the University of Johannesburg after completing his MSc. (Metallogenesis of Sishen Type Iron Ore Deposit) under the supervision of iron ore experts, Nic Beukes and Bertus Smith. Conrad started his career in 2016 as a geologist, exploring for Kimberlites near Kimberley. For the next 3 years he predominantly worked as Geologist and Project Manager in the iron ore mecca of the Northern Cape conducting geotechnical work. Prior to joining RES, Conrad also ran a 24-hour RC drilling program on an orogenic gold deposit in Saudi Arabia.

Since joining RES, Conrad has worked in Guinea on a world class orogenic gold deposit managing an international mining company’s core yard and finishing a core backlog of 8000m of drill core, with 4 DD rigs operating at the same time. He also ran an air core and diamond drilling programs on a remote exploration project for basement hosted copper in Zambia.
