About

Beth is interested in how the geological inheritance of the continental lithosphere controls what we see today, whether that is the distribution of mineral resources or earthquake hazard in continental interiors.

She graduated in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford and then completed a PhD in Geophysics at the University of Cambridge. She has lectured at UCT, Rhodes University and the University of Namibia and is currently based at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany.

In terms of techniques, Beth specialises in the geological interpretation of potential field (magnetic and gravity), as well as electrical and seismic datasets, in combination with field, geochemical and remote sensing data.

She first worked with RES in 2011.
